Woodlawn and Wasatch View were purchased as a portfolio from a local property owner and manager who has managed the property for 20+ years. This owner has cared about the tenants and chose to only have moderate rental increases during that time. Because of this, the rents were naturally affordable. As the seller decided to sell, they recognized that other potential buyers would raise rents so much that their tenants would most likely be displaced. The UHPF was able to come in and purchase the property and ensure that tenants were not displaced and the affordable rents were preserved.
